Found extra pieces

Re: my new 2012 TL that I bought several weeks ago, I just found a plastic bag in the glove compartment with 4 rubber plugs in it. They look like body plugs of some kind and are oblong shaped (about 1" by 1.5") and two of them have "FR" stamped on them.

Any idea what these were for?

Those plugs are for the frame
supposed to be put in place by the dealer during their inspection

My car was missing the plugs and I had the dealer order a set and put them in place

This sounds more plausible as they are rather large. If I knew where they were supposed to go I could insert them myself.

Go back to the dealer and have them put them in. Then ensure everything on your PDI checklist is checked off. They obviously didn't do the PDI checklist on your car correctly.

I found by searching this forum that these are just body plugs that are supposed to reduce road noise. I found the TSB that discusses the pre-inspection and there are sketches to show where these go (just behind front wheels and near rear wheels.
