New guy :O)

hi boys and girls.
I think this is the good thread.
so this is my girl 2011 aw-sh. before I was into vw, and audis but when I saw her I had to have her
so we got her in 2011 and since then it has been a grate car.
just not long time ago I found these wheel, vertini 20x9. I forgot the off set on these, but Ive made a mistake of putting 245/30/20 on the front. the back is 255/30/20 and it looks better. the front has too big of a gap so next week im getting 245/35/20 all way around. I hope it will look better cause I don't want to lower it due to wifie. she is a good driver but if it comes to avoiding potholes, she could do better . I took some pics today but I will take some better ones, once gets nicer out.

I couldn't get the pictures to download on here for some reason, so here is the album.
let me know what you think and if someone has 245/35/20 tires on their cars with stock height please send a pic.
thank guys this is an awesome site btw.

Welcome aboard!! Very nice purchase and color. I see that you blacked out the turn signals, do you get any light output? As far as the wheels go, very nice choice, I like the gold bolts. I personaly cannot give you any advice on tire size, as I don't have aftermarket wheels on my car yet. Last but not least, awesome dog bro.

thank you phantom
yea he would not move, I guess he wanted to be on the picture
I got leds in there, just a strip on the bottom of the turning signals. they are visible enough, but they are 3 years old now and im looking for something little different.

Konrad....Nice TL!! I love a WHITE TL and your bodykit is so much better than that of the 2012-2014 production. Your wheels look pretty good....I am a little conservative so I tend to enjoy the OEM a little better but that being said, they still make your TL look great.

Just curious....what do you think of the TLX?

Welcome aboard mate. The rims look great, however, lowering springs would really set the whole look of the car IMHO.

Looks great, enjoy the new whip

Thank you weather
I love white especially the pearl.
I still have oem wheels but with winters in them so I had to get new set. I think one year on winters is enough .
TLX... I don't really like it. they made it shorter and it reminds me of mazda 6, kind of. I love the long front of older(2009-2011) tls and the not very popular grill. but its just my opinion.

I know, but due to wife's "awesome driving skills"
I cant really afford another bend/broken rim. the front 30s are really thin, I didn't expect them too be this thin. if that was only my car, I would get it in standard and for sure lower it, but im not on my own on this one.
gotta share.

thank you very much rockstar
in this case there will be some more pictures coming. on Friday im changing tires from 255/30/20 rear and 245/30/20 front to 245/35/20 all way around. it should look/feel better cause wifie already got the front rim scratched a little.
thank you again

You're welcome, bud.

I'll play devil's advocate here, but the only way to prevent curbing wheels is to not have the wife drive the car. If that can't be avoided, just accept it. 35 series tire will fill the well better, but with a black wheel, you don't want to give yourself that bubbly look that'll make them look like spare tires.

Are you planning to lower her any?

wifie not driving the car... I lost that one
she loves it that "snow white", apparently it is its name lol
so new wheel every 2 years depends on the damage.
I would like to lower her but first I have to see how she looks with the 35s on her. I don't think I will go more than an inch.

so I got the new tires on 245/35/20. she is looking much better.
this is with 245/30/20 (front) and 255/30/20(back). I know not the same size, it was a mistake.

Murdock is 2 years old and weighs 96lbs. We recently rescued him through Kind Hands 4 Paws. He spent the last year in prison, seriously. He was a little unruly when he was rescued so Kind Hands has a program at two of our state prisons here in Ohio. A group of inmates have been trained in dog obedience and take unruly dogs and turn them into wonderful pets. In my 42 years of marriage we have had 20+ dogs, all bulldogs and/or boxers. He is the best dog we have ever had. Such a sweetheart. They did a great job with him.

Is yours an English Mastiff or a Bullmastiff? Welcome to the forum BTW!

little guy had some rough time. poor pup.
that is awesome that you guys rescued him
Atlas is a south African mastiff. we got when he was 4 month old and he was 45lbs. the people who got him first, realized that he is not gonna be a small dog and they gave him back, so we got lucky with him. Great dog, awesome temperament and very good with kids and most of the people if introduced properly. right now he is 5 year old and 135lbs. love that guy.

Car looks very nice man, I'm going for a similar setup with 9" wide wheels all the way round with 245/35 rubber. I've been trying to picture how close to the outside of the fender the wheel will sit. The pictures you have looking down on the wheel and fender is great.

The wheel I want will sit very close to yours, they are +35 offset.
what is the offset of your wheel?

If its close then I have a pretty good representation of how the wheels I want will sit which would be very helpful. Thanks

hey Rock
thank you
I believe the offset is +35. I love the look, not too far out and not a stock look.
But I think when the time comes for new tires I will go with 255/35 a little more tire.

To fill in the gap a little more? or because the ride is harsh with less side wall.

how is the ride comfort compared to stock 18" with 245/45?

the ride is not that bad compare to 18' and 245/45.
