Mud flaps

Yay or nay on a new TL as far as appearance? Do they come in the same color as the car or are they all black?

When I bought my 2010 TL it did not come with mud flaps and I definitely wanted them so I ordered them on E-Bay.
They do come body color, thank goodness and they were easy to install. I have mud flaps on all my vehicles. Anything to help protect paint.

Do you have to take wheels off to install the mud flaps?

No...the rear flaps are a pain but doable without removing the wheels

I ordered mine and put them on when I put my summer tires back on in the Spring. Easier with the tires off, but doable.

Absolutely, the paint gets chipped enough as it is.

My car came with them and color matched. But is that only for the SH-AWD, I don't remember?

At almst 28k miles the paint on them has held up 100%.

Really wish I had asked the dealer to install them. They are a must have.

Ya I wish I did to. Never really noticed untill I saw other cars with them. They are'nt too expensive as long as you install them yourself.

Our Basque Red doesn't show a lot of dirt, but after 25k+ I've started to notice the tiny scuff/scratches on the side of the car that could have been prevented.

I put them on my B Red TL. I used clear flexible door guard to protect the paint. So far it has worked. I will post pics.

Great, please post those pics. Have been thinking of getting these for my BRP after noticing two small nicks in the rear quarter panel paint only 2200 miles

would you please post a link of the flaps you bought? I wonder how those flexible mud flaps look on TL since they are much cheaper than the OEM splash guards

it only costs like 30 bucks for mud flaps and some people say these flexible flaps might do a better job although don't look as gorgeous as the OEM splash guards....

Better to get the OEM one's they are very easy to install and come in all colors. The cheap ones are going to look like crap and will probably be a pain to install.

I don't think to turn on every driver around you is such a good idea for security concerns......
