Has anyone had the Maintenance Minder items 2 & 3 show up yet?

Maintenance Minder 2 is to replace air filter, cabin air filter and inspect drive belt. (There is a disclaimer to replace both engine and cabin air filter at 15,000 miles if driving in dusty conditions)

Maintenance Minder 3 is to replace transmission and transfer fluid.

 

I guess I'm wondering whether the Maintenance Minder system is "intelligent" enough to know when to change out both the engine and cabin air filter.... Or is it just preset to certain mileage intervals....

 

My understanding is all the extra mainanence items are based on preset mileage. Only the oil change interval is calculated in a "smart" way.

 

My first "2" showed up at 28,349 miles (A12), and my second "2" showed up at 56,442 miles (B126) ... every 3rd service. No "3" to date.

 

So, I remove both filters to see how dirty they actually are, and here are the results.... (Car has around 14,800 miles)








The last two are front and back sides of the cabin air filter. Looks like I'll be buying both filters here shortly....
