Low Fuel light

The rule with other Acura/Honda products has been the 3 gallon warning. You could expect to hit 80 more miles or so plus some borrowed time for MPG.
Let it hit the light and the fill up, subtract the capacity of the tank from what you pump in...you'll know for sure.
Letting your fuel light come on means you're also letting your fuel pump work much harder than it would have to with the help of gravity (more fuel in tank, less work). I usually refuel at the 360 mile mark or so to avoid any unnecessary strain on the fuel pump.

With anything built after 88 or so, the fuel pump is actually in the middle of the tank. The pump is submerged and cooled by the gasoline. When you run below the mid level, you're effectively running the pump with reduced cooling. It will burn up faster than if you keep it full of gas.
The dual effect is the full tank allows the pump to pull gas in with the fuel above the pump weighing down the fuel being drawn - basically, it doesn't work as hard.
Full tank = cooler fuel pump that does less work.
Empty tank = hotter running fuel pump that has more work to do.

but you are correct on gas cooling down fuel pump.
The indicator light and low fuel warning trigger when you have about 50 miles left on the trip computer. My guess is as good as yours if the reading is correct, but I did test that right when it changes to "50 miles left to empty" the indicators signal.
yup, and that 50 miles left is determined by your mpg, and your driving habits..
if you drive conservatively. then your 50 miles will go down slower, if your gunning it the whole way, expect it drop to 25 miles in matter of minutes.
