all i am doing is cutting out the letter and lines using a cnc machine. you would have to provide the lighting unless you want me too. i am working on getting a kit together from a company.

right now the price is set at 200$ for cutting the ACURA out and 50$ extra for the lines.

make sure you guys have clearance from Astro before making threads like this, i know some folks on here get a little angry about it

anyway- i had the supercomputer light up sills for my 3G.. both blue on my UA6 and red on my UA7

they were an awesome touch, good price, tricky but feasible install... however, the quality, was shit.

they werent cut right, the rears didnt lay flush...the double sided tape kept coming off and the door sill would fall out of the car.... i was a bit disappointed

i know jptl04 has some crazy custom sills, that look beautiful... like the AMG light up sills...

i am in, but i would rather spend $400 for something super legit, than $200 for tin foils, leds and double sided tape..

Please take the time to look at my thread on the 3g side you will see this is not some poor quality workmanship.


And yes i have been warned about selling things without being a vendor. I am in talks with a current vendor on here to sell the service through for me. Yes, the service is costly but i have spent alot of my own time and money designing and programing our cnc, creating fixtures to be able to make these.

Depending on what you want to use for the light source it is up to the owner. All i am doing is cutting out the letters and Lines in the stock OEM door sills.

jptl04 and i have talked and i believe he paid someone 300$ to just cut out the "ACURA" in his door sills.

light source is pretty difficult. on the 3G, you would tap into the door jamb sensors. so each sill would only light up, when that particular door was opened. it wasnt rocket science, but not for an average joe to install. you need some "handy-ness"

well, good luck with the project..i will definitely entertain the idea of buying a set of these, as long as they are better than supercomputers

Hondaforlife954 - what do you recommend for a light source? When working on these on the 3G side what are you finding that works well?

I found a company that sells some very bright EL strips. I know others are working on a LED type of lighting as well. While working with different companies i found the most important thing to spend the money on is the inverter. It makes a huge difference. when you buy cheap things you get what you paid for.
