Lets talk HID swap install...

Hey I'm finally getting around to swapping out Erin's OEM HID's for some 6k's and matching Fogs... well kinda changing up the front end looks all together well and some on the rear and sides but that'll be covered in the Build thread (link below) after boxes get opened on Christmas... From my research I'm seeing the Heads are D2S's and the D2C's fit as well since they have the cut outs for D2S's and R's... Some of these state a connection wire is needed... these should be plug and play on an 09 FWD right? Just pull the stock bulb and replace with the 6k and plug into OEM wiring from the Ballast right?

correct, unless your screen name holds true and come up with some sort of user error.

I would head to www.theretrofitsource.com for your HID needs.
its very simple to navigate the site, to find out which bulbs you need to purchase as there are extensive guides, faq's and message boards

You should check these out:
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/pro...ducts_id=10591
I really want a pair, apparently they're way brighter than our stock 85122+ bulbs. Also if your like me the oem bulbs have probably dimmed since they were brand new. Some fresh bulbs will make a huge difference.

These seem promising. Has anyone had experience with these? How were they?

just so you know there is a difference in performance between d2s and d2r.. you need d2s bulbs as d2r is for headlights with reflector bowls as low beams.. d2s is made for projectors.

It gets the yellow out of the middle of the cutoff and appears to be brighter. That's still a high price to pay.
