I just bought a 2012 TL -

How many keys does Acura give out when the car is bought new? I am getting two remote keys but (upgrading from) old 2004 Honda i got 2 remote and 1 valet.

Should i also get a valet key?

2-since the valet is the remote after you take the key out of it.

I got two plus a valet key with my 2010 that I bought used.
I realize the OP is talking about a 2012.

 

If you have non tech then you will get 3 keys total. For tech pack 2 key fobs, each of them can become valet fobs.

OP my first response is based you have a tech or adv pack.

 

Jim-C, you have a base model so you will get 3 keys with tech you only get 2 FOB keys and thats it.

Today is my 2nd day owning it and i already have check engine light!? wtf!
- Engine System: P0365
- Vehicle Stability Assist: 83
- All-Wheel Drive: 77

any works to enlighten me? I already have an appointment at an Acura dealership to have it check out; to my benefit i have the check still to payoff the dealership from my credit union.

 

Check your Acura dealer's website, they may have a free coupon for a check engine light diagnostics. All the Acura dealers around me have it.

 

I would expect that a 2012 would still be under full warranty. (?)
You should not have to pay for anything. Do your best to get this resolved and documented as some of these check engine conditions can be relatively complex and costly. (It can also be minor, but you don't know for sure and you have to take their word for it.)
