Keyless Entry

Good afternoon,

The last several days, I have been unable to open my front doors ('09 TL SH-AWD) by just placing my hand on the door handle itself. Did I do something unknowingly that turned off this feature or perhaps I do have a real issue? This is happening on both the driver and passenger doors.

Thank you!

Check the keyless settings in the MID screen to see what it's set to. This is where I would look at first.

I would check the battery in the remote, first. Try using the Driver 2 remote and see if you get different results.

The batteries are fairly new and the light on the fob lights brightly when pressed. And yes, it does the same thing with the driver 1 key fob...I use #2 because it's not as scratched up. Not only do the doors not open when I grab the handle, it won't lock when I press the door button and I have to insert the key fob into the key slot to start the car. Very strange that this happened out of no where. Thank you for your help!

Back to Google....

Open your glove box and check if the "passive entry" switch is at "off".

If it is, switch it back to "on", and you should be ok.

That's exactly what it was!!! I was fishing around in the there, looking for something, prior to all this happening. But, I never thought I came close enough to hitting the switch, but I guess I did. Thanks for all the replies!!!
