Why are you ditching the E46, just because you want a TL or is it something else? What transmission does it have and do you have any pictures of it?

^^ I have a Lexus IS350 F Sport....White with black interior.

Great car but I still miss my 2012 TL namely because of the SH-AWD and the plethora of buttons in the cockpit....At night, the interior was just amazing!

It's a '99 that I've owned it since it was new. It has 144k miles and it's time for something else. It is a 5 speed manual and the pictures I have were taken a very long time ago!

I'm also cross shopping a TL with a is350 f-sport. How would you compare the acceleration and handling?

Just sent you a PM but I think you posted a typo, which confused me. Is it a E46 or E36? My PM stands if it's an E46.

I agree on the button thing, a lot of people complained about the abundance of buttons but I personally think it looks very cool in the dark. It's like sitting in a fighter jet at night lol.

It's an e46. 1999 was the first year of the e46 sedan.

I have a 09 SHAWD currently and eying the '11 535i due to a change. No problems with my TL for the past 3 years and am afraid I'll walking into a money pit with a used BMW.

I highly recommend you get a certified pre-owned BMW if you are worried about repair costs. There are tons of deals out there for CPO 535.

You should try and get a 2012 CPO to get a little bit of the maintenance plan included thru 2016. Regardless if you get a certified pre-owned you get a 6 year 100,000 mile warranty that covers most of the major items. Keep in mind though the 6 year warranty starts from the ORIGINAL sale date to the ORIGINAL owner.

Absolutely correct try to get a CPO. Look at the year but also look at when the car was purchased..Also what year it was made to not end up in the first batch of cars made... you could end up with a 12 with like 1 more year left of CPO warranty if it was sold in 2011...

I had to make a decision between 2 535's both 2011. 1 was loaded loaded but had 1 year left on the CPO warranty. The one i got with less features had 5 months of the original factory warranty and i still have CPO until the end of 2017...Because mines was made and sold mid 2011...

Also if your not in a rush to buy the car i would hold off until November-March to purchase because i seen a 2-3K difference in price from November through now.. I could've had way more car for the same cost or mines for less.. I picked mines up in the summer... Never again

Coming back almost 4 years later to report. I AM STILL OBSESSED WITH MY BMW
love the car, the ride, the speed, the tech ALL OF IT..did I mention the speed and the 0-60 in 4.5 sec

i will admit the suspension and handling on my AWD was better than my 335 but everything else has been a BLAST.
i will always have mad love for Honda tho...

The F30 handling is soft and mushy. My TL was incredible. That’s my only complaint with the 335
