Exclamation Issue with guidelines for the rear view camera?

Everytime I put the car in reverse, occasionally the yellow guidelines will not come on for the first few seconds. Sometimes it comes on instantaneously and other times it can take 2 to 4 seconds. Anyone else have this issue?

You are not alone, it happens on rare occasions for me also.

Same issue here. Maybe there is a delay because of the nav and radio starting up?

I'm betting this is the case. OP didn't say, but I've seen the delay; it's always when I jumpo in the car and throw it in reverse without letting the system get up and running.

There was a service bulliten on this recently. I'm at work right now and looking it up on my phone isn't possible.

Haven't noticed it in my June '12 build date TL Tech. But then again I usually always give the car at least 20 seconds warm up, and admittedly I don't look at the camera often. But when I do, the grid lines are always there. Good luck!

This. The navigation computer draws the lines, not the camera.

Why do you put it into gear as soon as you start the car?

same here, and i bet everyone would have the delay if they started the car and threw it into reverse without letting the system get up and running....

Other than the morning start or when the car has been sitting, I see no reason not to put it into gear after I start the car!

I also noticed this happens, but only when you shift into reverse directly from starting the car. I believe the CPU has to load just like a regular computer. This is also why you cant press OK to the "I wont blame Acura if i crash my car" screen at start up.

My solution was to just back up my car into spots and not need reverse while the computer. As far as I know Acura doesn't have a fix.

Mine does it as well, and as others have stated, its the slow-a$$ bootup of the nav system. That's one of the few annoyances I have with the car; but the "warning" message prior to the bootup, and speed that up.
