Hello fellow Acura owners,
So my dog managed to eat a chunk of my seat belt and i would like to send them off to repair. Seems like there is a service for it below. https://www.safetyrestore.com/seat-b...lt-repair.html
Does anyone have instructions on how to remove them?
Thank you,
Anderson
It's simple, unscrew the seat belt bolt, remove the sill trim, center trim and remove the seat belt mechanism itself. This is a Honda, here all the disassembly is very, very simple.
Thank you for the instructions , seems a bit complicated but it may be worth spending a day tearing up my back seats!
Seems a lot more than it is. You can easily tackle it in under 2 hours start to finish including reassembly. While it's apart perfect time to clean up any dog hair or other stuff that gets into those tight spaces! I took the opportunity to add some dynamat to the rear shelf to prevent future rattles.
Good morning,
I was reading through the instructions this morning and noticed that they mention replacing that the projection on the pin will break when removing the C-pillar trim. They recommend replacing the upper clip when reinstalling..
Can anyone provide some details on if I need to replace the clips and should I buy them at the dealership??
Also, do I need a KTC trim tool set?
Thanks for the help/advice.

Most places reuse the clips if they don't break. The KTC trim tool set is a basic set of pullers/plastic pry bars. You can use your fingers, a butterknife wrapped in a thin towel or go to autozone and get the equivalent for a few dollars. I use my fingers...

That's right, the clips can be reused, but it is advisable to replace them, because after the first removal they get damaged, then they cannot hold the trim correctly and after reused, extraneous sounds may appear in the car.
