How much does it cost to paint the beak?

I was wondering what the cost would be to paint the front beak and the rear chrome line of the car?

Typically if I do one.

I charge $250 for paint, then the cost of the grille pieces.

Anyways, these grilles aren't just your normal prep. They are metal and need to be treated like metal. Meaning you have to either use self etching primer or epoxy primer, then seal it, then paint it.

This way, the grille will have the best possible defense against rock chips.

For a painted beak and rear grille, I would charge $200.

Keep in mind, paint alone cost about $75 between basecoat/clear and epoxy primers etc

Do you have a website or a portfolio with your previous work? Where are you located?

Yopu might also want to check with your dealer. I was going to get it done elsewhere then the dealer offered to do it for $275 (Nalley Acura in ATL, GA).

Painted Acura Insignia

I purchased my TL with part of the nose painted. The part that has the Acura insignia is painted the same color as the car. To me, it looks very sharp.

You can see pictures at a post entitled "Mobile Detailing" posted by slickooz in the NY/NJ Regions with the last post made by me on 3/14/11 at 5:50pm.

It'll take a while to load because of all of the pictures, but my TL is the last car there. It has a couple of shots of the painted nose.

I paid $140 to get the beak painted on my wife's car. You really need to shop around as the prices range like crazy from what I have heard.

Price will depend on paint used, quality of workmanship, prep etc.
