Arrow HID Kit from TheRetroFitSource

Good afternoon,

I'm looking to upgrade the ballasts, low beams, high beams and fog lights on my 2012 TL - Tech. I have a read multiple forum posts before deciding to join and have read a decent amount of conflicting arguments. The ballast on my passenger side is no good and I have to replace the entire headlight assembly on the driver side, so I'd like to get a kit to simplify things. I went with an aftermarket Amazon ballast/ignitor that lasted about a couple months before it died on me as the original did. I've read a lot about the ballasts and kits from TheRetroFitSource and think I'd be pleased with those. My confusion comes with what I tried to find on my own, as well as what I've been told from contacting the customer service at TRS. When I asked through email, I was told TheRetroFitSource - Email Suggestion with the Mitsubishi wire harness would be enough to get me up and running again. I didn't mention to them about foglights or high beams so it seemed like a good choice.

From here, I started looking in to their foglights and saw many people recommend this TRS Morimoto XB Foglight as an easy plug and play solution that looks great. I'll probably go with yellow LED's on those.

So I was looking through their site and I asked the live chat about what I was looking for. The person I spoke to recommended me this TRS - Live Chat Suggestion kit instead. She also recommended that I get these High Beam - Live Chat suggestion as high beams. I asked if I would need a relay or PWM and she said that I would need a PWM, so then she sent me a link to one that I did not save, but it was around $200. I didn't mention that I wanted to change my high beam/DRL to LED's, but I am assuming I'd only need that if that was the case? She also linked me to LED Fog - Live chat suggestion for my fog's but I would rather replace the entire set at that point with the nicer Morimoto's. I asked her about the HID Kit she suggested and that it requires I choose a relay or a PWM harness, and then they admitted they were still learning, so I'm not sure if they were just not aware what exactly I needed or what my application was, but they're the ones who are working there and not me .

My plan was to get the kit in the first link, with XB 5000k bulbs. I'd probably go for the Morimoto XB Fog's with yellow LED's, and I'm in search of a nice white colored high beam/DRL. Sorry for the essay just would like to know others opinions.

Thanks!

Your approach sounds good to me. XB5000K bulbs with the Mitsubishi repair kit that will allow you to plug and play from the existing car wire to the aftermarket ballast. Then do the the full assembly fog light kit as opposed to the bulbs they suggested.

Awesome to hear. Have definitely been doing days and days of research on here and have read several of your comments before. Thank you for the advice.

Also, has anyone had any luck getting a current Acurazine discount or any other type from TheRetroFitSource? I imagine they're not a vendor here anymore so they don't have a coupon code anymore, and emailing/calling and mentioning the coupon code didn't help.

Neither of these seemed to work at the moment, so I just went and pulled the trigger. If you spend over $300 you get a pair of free gloves and if you get any retrofit part you get free pliers

Great choices! I may get those when mine break/wear out.
