Has anyone gone 20x10.5........
good morning everybody. So I' finally found the rims I wanted for my Acura TL 2010 sh awd. I'm looking to get the verde axis v99 rims in a 20x10.5 but before I pull the trigger I just want to make sure it'll fit. Has anyone heard of or currently running 10.5 rims squared ? Is it even possible ?

you can make anything fit with time and a little bit of work.
if something is rubbing, you will have to assess where and figure out a work around, usually by rolling and pulling fenders...you can also play with tire size....and lastly, can play with camber

it joins the plastic fender to the metal fender.
you cant do anything until you assess what is going on...
for example, I got new wheels and dropped...then it started rubbing on the tab. OBVIOUSLY, I cut the tab.
There are a lot of variables that come into play...and the only way to address them is to assess.
so, like you play with tire size...you can play with camber...all depending on your goals.

ALSO, you didnt even mention OFFSET..
OFFSET PLAYS A BIG PART IN FITMENT!!!
if you grab a low offset, there's a chance your 10.5's wont fit!!!!!!!!!!
if you are scared or afraid of fitment issues, it would be VERY wise to asses your plans and go LESS aggressive...

Yea forgot to mention that. I'm going with a +42 offset i really wanted to go a little lower so that I could acheieve a more concave look but I don't want to mess around with the figment issues of a lower offset when I was told my car requires 40-55 offset "anything less would cause issues" however I will ask you. Do you think a 255/35/20 tire will fit a 20x10.5 wheel? I'm assuming the tire would probably be stretched as a 255 would be about 10 in wide correct?

depending on how low you are and how low you want to go....
there are tons of variables, that NO ONE can answer...until you get the wheels and tires on.
if you are fucking slammed, a 255 WILL BE too fucking wide, you will need to stretch that mufucka even MORE. This is what I mean by playing with tire size. playing with height...and then finally, playing with camber
to me, it sounds like you are going too aggressive, TOO fast!
while you dont want to be narrow sunken in like stock wheels, you also dont want to "mexi-poke"...
somewhere in the middle would be great!

I know for sure I got my rear 20x10.5 +25 to fit with a 255/30/20. You'll need to roll the fenders. I also installed camber kits but that was after. I'll have my show set mounted hopefully next week. I have to go 225/35 to be able to clear due to the offset which is much more aggressive. Your offset is much higher so you should be able to get them to fit.
Theres other members running 20x10.5 +35 on 225/35 but slammed. Another running 20x10.5 +27 on 245/35 but I'm sure it rubs. Tire plays a huge roll in fitment. Some tires run large and some running more small in the same size.
Its a lot of trial and error when it comes to aggressive wheel fitment.

My old set was 20x10 +35 with 255/35/20 and a 55 series tires definitely will clear but depending on how low you go you may have a slight rub. Must get fenders rolled and shave down rear bumper tab a bit. My new setup is 20x10.5 +27 on 245/35 and clears better even though it's a more aggressive wheel size. Tire size will play a big key with fitment but you will be fine.
20x10.5 +27 on 245/35
20x10 +35 on 255/35 which will be almost the same as your 20x10.5 +42

@ telele your ride looks awesome! Looks just like my car. And your parked in the same number spot i have 22. Its good to see what my car would look like more or less with that firmware size more or less. How the heck did you get such a low offset without any issues. I was told I couldn't. How did you go about it. I've heard others how they went about it just wan na see what route you went down. And @potmilkz thank s for that your response also helps me I me thanks bro!

Thanks bro and lol yea 22 is my reserved spot at home. To be honest my first set because of a 255/35 as pictured was a tighter fit because of the tire width. Even though my new wheels is wider with a lower off set it fits better more so because I'm now on a 245/35. And even on the first set I only rubbed with 2-3 people in the back and on curbs and driveways etc nothing major. If you roll your fenders and trim the bumper tab you will be able to do the same. I'm not even running camber kits so have faith many have done so. If you don't plan to go very low even better but the TL has enough room to play with.

My dude! Can't test fit on your car, they're 5x120. But I'll be installing the bbk's on Saturday and then should be able to get the new wheels mounted next week to check fitment but not gonna drive on them until the first meet/show depending on the weather.
We gotta get you some new shoes since your CU2 is now bagged.
