Julius' Airrunner for 2009-2014 Acura TSX

There's a handful of CU2s on AZ that are on bags now and I think it's time to show your setup. I myself decided to go bags but been scratching my head on what's a good system and such.

I'm considering Airlift 3H as well. I'm debating on which Viair compressor and 1/4" or 3/8" air lines.

I would recommend 1/4" lines so it airs up/down faster. I have 1 Air Zenith compressor and the thing is a beast. Planning on getting a second in the near future.

I read on Air Society forums that 3/8" lines airs up/down faster than 1/4"? I was also recommended 3/8" lines from Zack from Bagriders.com so I really don't know what size lines I should get. I was thinking of dual Air Zenith as well but would upgrade alternator since it hungry for more power?

I am currently running airlift. I have no complaints. I have 1/4" lines with dual Viar 444cc Compressors. from under 100psi it fills up in like 1-2 minutes max.

Yeah, I'm believer of Airlift with the simple setup compared to Accuair with all the additional component you need to tack on with eLevel.

I thought of running air lines along the interior for peace of mind but I've been reading on forums and some prefer because of ease to run air lines along with the break lines. What ya'll take on it. Thanks

well it makes sense... 3/8 line is bigger than a 1/4 line.

Mod, please retitle this thread "Julius' Airrunner for 2009-2014 Acura TSX" and move to the "2G TSX Photograph Gallery" as this will be my build thread.

Thank you.

Exclamation

Air Suspension is done. Here are the specs:

Air Struts: This is the first production struts in the United States from Airrunner. Stock height is 29" in the rear and at 25PSI at +/- 22" in the rear.

Air Management: Airlift 3H at 1/4" air lines. We need to redo the height sensors as I am out of range on the calibration. Height sensors are attached to the rear lower control arms and to the bottom of shock mount in the front. Running dual Viair 444C (stealth black) with SMC check valve. Air tank is a 5 gal aluminum from Suspension Specialty with dual SMC auto water trap drain (will need to attach drain lines). Air Management is all mounted in the rear deck by #becausebags Universal Hanging Management Bracket.

Rear Control Arms: T-Demand, I am collaborating with them to produce more parts for our CU2/CW2 chassis.

I want to finish the suspension portion before purchasing wheels. This is only the beginning.

See attached for photos.

Looks good man! Any videos airing up/down? I'm on air as well, but looking to upgrade my management and debating whether to keep my 1/4" lines or upgrade them to 3/8".

The size of the air lines was also on my mind and after talking to Airruners, most of their build runs 1/4" air lines and I am happy with the results, it gives the "luxury feel" My buddy has a 4th gen TL and he's running 3/8" (Airlift struts and 300 pounds difference with the TL and TSX) and it goes down quick and in my eyes i didn't like it. Granted he is running sleeve and bellow air bags and I am running full sleeves at four corners. Here is a short video of the height sensor calibration process, formal video coming soon. If I have time tonight I'll shoot a small video to post.

Let me know if the video works.

Thanks,
Maybe i'll save myself the headache and keep the 1/4". Mine airs down a bit slower but I believe it has to do with my management, since I only have the 2 paddle manual management. I'm also running sleeves on all four corners.

Looking forward to the formal video/progress.

Man I need to get my height sensors dialed in. I can't rely on the inconsistent of pressure.

If anyone in the Seattle, WA area thinking of going to Meister Werks European & Import Renton Auto Repair ? Renton Auto Service ? Meister Werks , I highly suggest you go to another shop to get your car worked on. After getting my Airrunners and Air Lift 3H installed I immediately booked an appointment with Meister Werks European & Import for an alignment. I mainly looked for a shop with an in-ground alignment rack, granted I wasn't gonna drive slammed and found Meister Werks European & Import. The person that helped me was Dave (owner of Meister Werks European & Import) and promised that my car will be done at X o'clock so I waited till X o'clock came and nothing so I waited an hour more and then I called Dave and he told me over the phone that the car is ready. In my head I was like "okay, what happen to 'call me when the car is ready to be picked up'" Got to the shop and he gave me the alignment sheet and on my way. Since my original installer couldn't dial in my height sensors I began to look for other shops and came across one shop across town. When to the shop, put the car on the lift and the guy told me that my control arms are all loose! And I told the guy "how is that possible because I had the car aligned at Meister Werks European & Import last week" and he told me "well, they didn't tighten it whatsoever." and the guy tighten it for me. So of course I called Meister Werks European & Import and luckily Dave answered the phone and I told him "hey all my control arms are loose, how could this happen? he answered " you could come in and we can redo the alignment" I said "no thank you, good bye." How could I go back to a shop that didn't tighten nuts and bolts.

How could one forget to tighten nuts and bolts when working on the car? Apparently, I wasn't the only one that experience this problem, another friend of mines went through the same situation with loose control arms. So be aware if ya'll considering Meister Werks European & Import to work on your car.

Wow that's a scary situation to be in... glad your car made it to the next shop without any issues. Did you do your research before committing to Meister Werks? I've had some pretty bad experiences of my own as well.. it just boggles my mind how incompetent some of these "shops" are.

All five stars on Yelp and Google Reviews. There is no reason why the nuts were not tighten to begin with.

Really like your trunk setup. Does the 3H not give you the option to "pancake" the car down? (lower front and back at the same time)
