i wouldnt try to do it yourself if you never had experience with opening and fiddling with headlights, a new headlight cost roughly 3 bills..

Halo's look good, but IMO best to leave it to BMW.

Everyone has to have their first If everyone went by this philosophy no one would ever attempt to do anything.

sure but you dont go opening a expensive headlight out of the blue, go do it on a civic or something first.

I'll take a halo over an LED strip anyday, but they need to be big enough to look cool...gibbyisgibby knows what I'm talking about.

Why? He would still be learning how to do the TL headlight for the first time after doing the civic, they arent going to be the exact same. Things are going to be different. Should he go buy a civic to learn how to change brakes? Equally expensive if he screws up.

Best thing to do is, Read up on how to, watch videos, take your time. You have to start somewhere.

I've had a bit of time to digest the concept of halos on a TL, and FWIW, these are my thoughts (though I don't judge others):

I remember when HIDs were only available on high end cars, mostly German. Now, of course, they are an option on a wide variety of cars. Back when they were new, however, every so often, you would see someone in a Pontiac Sunfire or a Ford F-150 sporting ultra-blue headlights. These blue bulbs were even marketed as simulating the HIDs seen on pricier vehicles. Still, I think everyone who saw them (or maybe it was just me) would think, "there goes a guy who wishes he could afford a different car".

I have to think that putting halos on something that doesn't have a BMW badge would result in the same effect. Now, you could say "who cares what others think", but the reality is, if one is considering halos, one very much cares what others think. You don't get halos becasue they work better.

Anyways...just my thoughts. Perhaps I'm way off.

I decided not to get the 22" rims because they wern't big enough and didnt have the option of coming in gold mirror finish with jewel accents all over them.

p.s. you have too much time on your hands to dig through my old posts...
