Grill Removal

Yes, I removed my grill and trunk piece for painting. Did not remove the bumper, it was a bitch even for a surgeon. And reinstalling is even worse. My mechanic and painter agree! But painting only cost $200 versus $1300 the dealer wanted.

Wow, no joke they made it pretty hard to get this grill off.
Took me about 1.5 hrs to get the middle section out... I removed EVERY screw I could see and STILL could not get the entire grill out.
If you want to get the middle portion out:
-From under neath the car, remove 6 screws (20 hex) near the 'mesh'
-From in the engine bay, remove the shroud over the radiator
-Remove 4 - 10mm bolts
-Remove 4 screws (20 hex) from the top of the grill
-At this point, you should be able to gently pry the grill away from the car enough to stick your hand in to remove the 4 screws (20 hex) holding the lower portion of the middle grill section
