Good Bye 2005 NBP TL A-Spec and hello 2009 Basque Red Sh-AWD
Very impressed with the improvements over the 3G. Power is awsome and the engine note is sweet. The handling is out of this world compared to the 3G A-spec.
The big move to get the 4G was the 3G suspension issues. It scalloped tires like mad and the dealer couldn't narrow it down. From what I found out the A-Spec kit should have come with shims for the rear.
With winter tires this car is a beast in the snow. 30cm here in Nova Scotia last weekend couldn't slow it down or keep it in an unplowed driveway.
The Basque Red w/ Taupe interior no Tech was all they had left in '09 and the deals were on the '09's only. But when the car is clean the red paint with the near white interior looks HOT! I love the Mayan/Umber combo though.
Well come spring I'll post some pics as with Atlantic Canada weather the car doesn't stay clean for long in the winter.
No mods yet but an intake is looking better day by day.

She needs a good cleaning inside and out right now. I had my German Shepard in and out of the back over ther past week so she needs a vacuuming and a good wash. Its -13 right now so no washing until it warms up. Its coated with road salt from the highways. My community doesn't use salt but man Halifax sure does.
I can't wait to get my summer tires back on and go for a run along the coast. Very nice windy roads along the south shore to play on...if you can get around the tourists.
I realy did loved the lines of my '05 TL A-Spec. Its just had that nice low slung look with nice pulled sheet metal.
I had the chance to play with a 3G TL WDP A-Spec the other night on the twin highway. He wanted to check the new model out I guess. We politely ran the cars a bit and I walked him pretty hard at any time. The 4G does feel a good bit stronger than the 3G.
Can't wait to clean'er up and go for a cruise with the windows down and roof open...sigh...only 4 -5 more months.
