I found an old thread and really like this grille but the guy who posted the picture never came back to say exactly how it was modified. Obviously it's the OEM grill painted, but I'm curious about the silver mesh. I've never seen anything exactly like it before.

Acurazine was a good place to start, but most of the answers you seek could be done with a simple search. The thread title is also misleading and the information you seek could have been accomplished with a simple Google pic search. Drag and drop that pic into the pic search and find out where else the owner of that 4G has posted.

 

I found the thread. He never came back and said exactly how he modified the grille. Obviously he painted it the color of the car but I couldn't tell from the picture whether or not that was the original mesh. I would have liked to have gotten a better look but he didn't put up a close-up of just the front of the car.

I came to this forum because I've read it off and on since I purchased the car, it's the best forum I've found and no, I didn't think you were all AH's, but I was informed that some of you might be. Anyway again, I got my answer, so it's all good.

 

Hey OP, I did the same thing to my grille (with some minor variations). You can browse through my progress thread for some more up close pics.

 

I think perhaps some of those expectations were formed, not "informed."

I stumbled across another thread you started on the same subject as well. The point is these sorts of new threads just clog up the forum with unnecessary crap that could have been handled on the other thread you already started.
