Drivers side door lock

does anybody know if its possible to cover up the door lock on a 4G TL? I know it was possible on the 3G TL because i was able to find posts about it but I'm not having much luck finding anything on the 4G TL.

Link to 3G mod that I was talking about.

Probably just buy the part and install it, except why would you want to get rid of it. There's a button and you don't want to hide that.

I'm not looking to replace or shave the door handle. I'm looking to cover just the lock itself.

I always lock my doors using the button. Figured most people would use it if they leave their keys their bag or pocket or something. I find it useful.

I do the same thing and i agree with you but i'm not sure you're understanding the question i'm asking. I'm looking to replace the molding around the key lock to hide the lock not the lock button on the door handle. I just wanted to see if anybody else has done this before i purchase the parts?

I would not cover the lock. You never know when you will need it. There is a lot more electronics in it vs 3G. I had my entire passenger door handle replaced under warranty because black button stopped working.
