Deck lid spoiler?

I bought one to put on my base TL but I'm not very handy and I don't trust myself.

How much should I expect to pay a body shop to install it? Looking at the instructions, it doesn't look like a lot of work considering the spoiler is already painted.

Thanks.

i believe all you need is a drill, some screw drivers and some masking tape.. it should be pretty straight forward.

drill the correct holes. and mount it on..

did you get a base?

I know it sounds easy for everyone but I'll probably screw it all up.

Yes, I have a 2012 base. Didn't need or want the tech. I just wanted to the deck lid spoiler and dealer wanted $700 for it installed. So I bought one from Curry Acura for $330.

I see you are in SOCAL. I'm also in SOCAL 626 area. Wanna help me? haha

I wouldn't blame you. haha I'm sure this would be a piece of cake for you since you have done the oem kit.

I called Thomas Acura and they want $200 and a local body shop wants $80. I guess I'll let it sit in the box until I find a cheaper alternative.

Thanks.

You said it's already painted? Just have the body shop do it for $80 done deal!

A $80 install job is quite reasonable.

There will definitely be some cheaper places, but you also have to make sure that they won't do a half-ass job. "You get what you paid for".

$80 is really not bad but I'm trying to keep the spoiler cost as low as possible. I could have bought the tech for $3k more but didn't really want or need it. My hope was to pay only 10% or $300 for the spoiler. Anything more than that then I would start thinking twice about passing up on the tech.

I'm sure everyone here knows the spoiler comes with tech because the back up camera is on the spoiler. The one I bought doesn't even come with that.

Personally I think the TL looks better without the rear spoiler.

Personally I think it looks naked without it. But then again I like spoilers on cars in general.
