The amber bulbs have a chrome coating to prevent the egg yolk looks through the clear lens. Maybe "Recall" can post an after pic for you.

I have them for the front and rear turn signals. It cleans it up nicely but you lose some brightness due to the chrome coating. Cheap alternative compared to converting to leds.

That's just the adapter you need from V-LED's. It's the right one. Trust me.

Though I haven't experienced it myself, there are quite a few stories on these very forums about systems going haywire due to LED rear signals.

Just a heads up on the rear 7440's. I couldn't find a quality set of chrome bulbs except what was on eBay. About a year later after using them (this week actually) the rear passenger side bulb fell out. The plastic bases don't offer the same tension as the glass base bulbs do and I guess over time it got worse.

I put back in the glass base as I thought the bulb burnt out. When I went over to replace the drivers side bulb that too fell out of the socket when i removed the taillight housing from the car. I like the chrome bulb look better but unless you guys found a quality bulb i'd stay away from them for now.
