Chinese TL has a different front bumper
I was looking for spy shots on on the 2012 MMC and came across these pictures. They are from the Acura of China website. The beak looks a little different (maybe slightly smaller?) and the bumper has a crease under the grille and lights. It looks like they also offer a different front spoiler. I think It looks better than our version...
And I know we are all trying hard to be as cool as this guy..

Unfortunately, the Chinese TL does not offer SH-AWD and they only have those 17" rims that I am not so fond of.... otherwise, yes, the bumper is nicer....

Did you all see that promotional mini movie clip that Andy Lau did for the TL?

Everything is great except for those ugly rims LOL

The model next to that car should follow this proverb. 供以人员在前面跑在汽车之后跑的谁得到用尽,人得到疲乏。

Yes, we have them here in Canada too. The only problem is when it is night and you spray windshield washer fluid on your windshield, about 2 seconds later your lights get sprayed which sprays the hood and windshield and as such you have to wipe the windshield again.

I just found out that the Chinese TL has a selling price of 580K Chinese Yuan, which is just under USD$87,000.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please don't use it as a point of comparison because it is not valid at all.
I do not mean to offend, just realize that there are many factors behind why cars are significantly more expensive over there.

There are people who will pay the equivalent of $1.2 million in China for a home that would sell here (on the west coast) for $500k. My brother-in-law designs them. Is that a fair comparison?

DUDE I have proof of this! Are you in denial? PM me...I'll bet you don't have the balls anyhow...and I will send you the sales data and even the plans for the fucking house!

no, you said "is it a fair comparison"
and i explained why it would not be a fair comparison. you can't just pick 2 houses in 2 different countries and disregard all other factors that make their prices different.
For example, that same house your brother may have designed could sell for 1/3 of the price in arizona vs california. Also not a fair comparison because the demand for housing in california is (or was) higher in california.
I never said you're lying about the housing prices nor do i want the sales data n etc for the house.
I'm well aware of probably housing price differences between countries.
Also please, no discussion about my balls. That was uncalled for. I was merely telling ostrich that cars in asia are more expensive and should not be used as a point of comparison to cars in the US. (Although now I see that he's just informing us)

I've said it before, but Acura Chinese commercials have more emotional appeal and are more "exciting" than the US'. The ones here in the states are generally pretty boring and have no appeal, esp the ones filmed in the "grey museum room."

It's curious though, that the overall theme for the TL ads was very romantic (what?), the theme for the RL seems to be luxury (and the RL actually looks good there! They must have a fantastic cameraman LOL), while the MDX is sold as a very exciting get away car. Oh, and to get Andy Lau to do the TL ads is like getting Brad Pitt to sell Acura here.... maybe it's the wrong theme (I'd much rather have an action and excitement them for the TL than the romantic one!) but still, the effort is pretty amazing.

Good find OP. I wonder what leeway any given country's Acura headquarters has to modify the car design? I wonder how one orders a Chinese Acura grill...
I visited China about a month ago. I saw zero Acura's over the course of two weeks, and cars are everywhere. I saw some Honda's but not many. From what I know the Chinese don't trust Japanese made cars, or Japan for that matter. It looked like 50% of the cars there were Volkswagen, and for some weird reason Buick is extremely popular over there.

WOW! Those pics look very aggressive (in a nice way). IMHO, the Chinese front and rear lips, including the front bumper, make the overall 4G design flow so much better, and yet retains that futuristic "keen edge" look Acura is aiming for. The OEM grill and rear strip no longer looks out of place, at least on Palladium Metallic. This is the look how the 4G should have in the first place. Why wasn't this done on the US models???
So, how can we get this kit in the US?

Here is a picture of the TL in a mall in Shanghai at August. I cranked up the brightness so that we can see better the front lip. the front bumper is different than we do... also...... one more thing i found...... the size of the rear view mirror are almost 1/2 larger than what we have in N. America. I am pretty sure, coz i close my driver side rear view mirror every morning...so i know how large is the mirror when i hold the chinese TL's mirror

WOW!!! I can't believe that Acura would be so dumb not to offer that front end set up here in the states. With the front bumper protruding just a bit and the lower spoiler really set off the front end. The beak actually flows and actually looks good for the 1st time.

I saw someone with an Acura backpack when I was in Shanghai this summer. Looked like something that would be handed out at a dealer event or something.
Otherwise, no Acuras. I saw a Maybach (on a busy street corner, just parked there, nontheless) plenty of Benzes, BMWs, VWs, Buicks, Peugeots, several Porsches, and a ton of Audis, but no Acura. No Infiniti. No Lexus.
I do have to give VW significant credit for essentially cornering the massive taxi market in Shanghai, though.
