Check Keyless Starting System Error
This is the message I got.
This morning I remote started my car and went to open my door using the keyless entry with the door handles, car remained on which was odd since this generation of Acura shut off immediately upon opening the door. I then got in and put my foot on the brake, the car instantly shut off and I restarted it fine. While driving in the highway I get the a flashing error message check keyless starting system. Anyone have this happen to them with a car that has an aftermarket remote start like Viper?

I am only taken an educated guess. It could be possible that the door switch did not make good contact to the ground. That would explain why the car did not cut off and might have contributed to your error message. I would try just pushing the doorswitch in and out with your hand to make sure its working properly. You can check to make sure the dome light cuts on and off with the door switch.

I have been getting the same problem with my 2009 Acura TL tech. Sometimes in winter when I drive my car without inserting the key it says that error "An Indicator is on check keyless starting system" and when I autostart and look inside my car, in the dashboard it says "CHECK KEYLESS STARTING SYSTEM" I tried changing my car battery twice, shows the same indicator, tried changing my key fob battery and still says the same. The keyless entry for the door lock works but it says that when you turn on the car then turn off the car may not start again so I always insert the key in the fob. If you still have that indicator and you cant find a solution just don't autostart your car and always keep the key fob in the slot
