Cargo Net question

My TL did not come with a cargo net. The dealer told me it's an accessorie. I went to another Acura dealer today and they told me it should have come with the car, but when we went out to the lot, non of their TL's had it either.

Now this is the kicker. On acura's computer theirs no available part number for it.

How can I get one ? is in Acura's website under interior accessories

My car didn't come with it either. In the back of my TL accesories brochure, there is a mention of a cargo net but there's no picture. If Acura doesn't have it, you might try an aftermarket net at an Auto parts store.

The cargo net is definitely an add on, not normally included with the msrp unless you negocitated it up front. Do some shopping on line and see if your local dealer will beat the price.

thanks for all the replies guys.

The thing is that the dealer can't get it for me because theres no part number and the Acura system says the net is not an accessorie even though we see it on the acura page.

How did the previous gen net fit in on the 09'

I have the '09 net. It is so small that it is nearly useless. The one in my 06 TSX is much nicer.

Question Check the spare tire compartment for the net?

Just thought I'd ask if you 4G TL owners checked under the trunk in the spare tire compartment for the cargo net. A number of 3G owners didn't realize their cars came with the large and side cargo nets because the nets were stored in the foam compartment below the trunk floor above the spare tire.

the cargo net does not come with the TL. My dealer had some trouble finding it on the system because of the newness of the car but then he eventually found it. It is definately in the system just a little hard to find. I will post the assy. number as soon as I can.

Probably confused because the previous generation car had it standard.

My salesman told me to take the cargo net out of my 3G because it was not included in the 09. I tried to mount it in my 09 and it doesn't fit very well. Sits kinda low. Must be the one for it is smaller like Docray1 said.

Maybe it's a dealer-supplied option and that's why it's not in the catalog? IDK. I know that's not how the 3G worked but who knows what is up with Acura?! I'd grab some off ebay: they pop up pretty often and are cheap.

Cargo net does not come with 09 TL. It's an add-on. Your dealer may be having some issues, because we have a part number for it. BTW tell the sells guy to read up on his product knowledge.

There is also a "cargo hook" option. I bought that and the cargo net when I bought the car - thought the hook was needed to mount the net. Not the case - the cargo hooks a a 3 prong affair (two of them) that mount to the underside of the roof of the trunk. Made to hook the handles of plastic grocery bags onto...
Not sure they are worth it - nor is the cargo net very impressive.

The cargo net for the 4G is the same cargo net from the 3G.
