Can a dyno set off ABS/AWD/Traction warnings?
I just had to get my cars emissions tested for the first time. They put it on a dyno, hook equipment up to the OBD port, and hook equipment up to the exhaust and then run the car through various simulations.
When I got the car back, it had a little mail box on the display. I checked my messages and there were three.
1. The AWD system may not be performing...
2. The Stability Control/Traction Control system may not be performing...
3. The ABS system may not be performing...
All three said that the systems may not work and that I need to have the car inspected.
I am assuming this is just a side effect of running it on the dyno and everything is actually fine? But thought I would ask here first. I did ask the emission people and they said it's normal and the check engine light should clear itself in 20 miles or so. But the check engine light isn't on, just the mailbox messages. Is it worth having it checkout out, or is this pretty normal?
