Camshaft lobe inspection?

Does anyone know is it possible to inspect cam lobes without removing valve train?. I do hear little valve train noise I'm planning to check valve last this weekend. But from looking at images and video only way to inspect cam lobes is to remove valve train.
just got car back from acura of Bellevue. They did transmission flush, software update. Also noticed same valve train noise. They said most likely it is worn cam lobe.
the car just hit 110k, I'm planning on doing timing belt soon. And if I need to replace cam shafts it be time to do it.

Are you noticing loss of power or any flakes in the oil? Valves tend to be noisy on J-Series and an adjustment can quiet them down a tiny bit. Exhaust tend to tighten and intake loosen if I remember correctly. Takes about 2-3 hrs of labor and valve cover gaskets.

Valve lash needs to be adjusted periodically because of wear.
I understand the mechanism where wear decreases the lash.
Please explain so I may better understand.

Ya usually exhaust tightens due to more heat wear. And intake stays normal . Im a certified marine diesel mechanic

The gap can increase or decrease depending on where the wear occurs.... wear on the valve seat or face would decrease the gap, wear on the cam or in some cases a rocker or pushrod would increase the gap....
thus adjusted valves are happy valves

on these J37 engines, can we re use the valve cover seals, and also rep-use the intake plenum gasket? im planning on removing valve covers this morning, but if i cannot re use valve cover gaskets i have to wait and order a set before i remove them? i cannot remember if honda/acura uses rubber seal and gasket maker on valve covers?
I did see on the front valve cover on top left corner there was some gasket maker sticking out, so maybe acura uses rubber seal with some gasket maker on the corners?

I would change valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube gaskets. Reuse intake manifold gasket.

I have the same issue when the car is cold. Lots of valvetrain noise. It's especially noisy when i shut the car off after driving for a bit and start back up in 5-10 min then take off . The valvetrain is VERY loud between 2-4k like its starving for oil ( oil level is full). If i put the car in neutral while driving at a lower speed and rev up the engine to about 3k for 5 seconds the noise goes away. Not sure if this just means i need a valve adjustment or what. Timing belt/water pump was replaced at 90k and it currently has 115k. '09 SH tech.

I just noticed something weird. The noise does not come on all time when cold and sometimes after it's hot. Example today I did cold start drive 50 miles no noise at all.
2 days ago cold start lots valve train noise.
I have contacted acura of Bellevue, doing oil consumption test. My car still qualifies for the repairs.. if they will end up doing repair I'm going to have them replace the bad cam shaft if there is one, since they have to take heads off anyways. And they will install new timing belt, I'll have them put new water pump.
