A/C in auto mode

Whenever i turn the A/C in auto mode it does not run at full blast initially even when outside is very hot , i need to turn up the fan speed manually but overall it cools very well and maintains temp.

Is there any way or settings to make the A/C come on with full blast initially ( i can control this in my BMW) and looking for similar feature

I set my temp at 65. As soon as I turn it on, it blasts until it reaches 65 or cold enough for me to up to it a comfortable temp like 70.

mine blasts initially on auto... I keep it at 70. Impressed how quickly it cools.

you're not setting the temperature low enough in auto if its not blasting. usually in 65-68 will start off full blast in auto if its really hot

I keep mine set to 72 degrees and when hot outside I get full blast and air recirculation.

Ditto. Mine is at 70/71. When I first get in the car on a warm day, it blows on the top fan speed and recirc mode until the interior gets to the set temp.

In auto mode, all you can see on the display is the word "Auto" as well as the two-digit temperature readout.

If the display shows either the fan speed and/or the ventilation mode, then the A/C is not running in the Auto mode.

Turn it all the way down to "Lo" and it will turn the fans on to max speed assuming it's hot enough outside. Once the cabin has cooled down, turn up the AC to a temperature of your liking...

Very annoying using the climate control temperature as if it were a heat/cool manual control.

And unnecessary. The car will figure all this out on its own if it's in full Auto mode. Works flawlessly.

Just leave it in auto. You can change the temperature without switching off the auto. If you mess with the modes and fan speeds it'll turn either driver side or both sides off auto

Is that a blower issue ? Anyone experienced

You might have some debris in there, or the fan blades could be hitting something. I have seen situations where the fan blades gets out of alignment and hits the side of the fan housing. That usually takes time to happen. Hard to imagine something got in the air box with the cabin filter installed. You do have a filter installed??

I always thought the fact that it doesn't blast when it ain't gonna make the car cooler any faster by blasting was a great feature. The fan noise drones out a whole range of frequencies when listening to music, and the blowing feeling is the first thing that causes fatigue on a long drive. In my old cars I'd always forget to turn the fan speed down and then get extremely annoyed at the burning feeling on my skin eventually. In this car I don't gotta mess with it, ever.

My experience exactly. I've been pretty impressed with how well the Auto feature works, so far. I'm not sure it's still true, but I was told a while ago by a buddy who worked on car ACs that if you blasted your fan, you would end up with a less cold stream of air (it would be cool, just not as cold).

I have an observation, not sure if something is wrong with my A/C

Mine set in Auto (65) sync on

When I first turn the ignition on, the blower starts in full blast ( i can hear it) but surprisingly cold Air only comes from the corner vents ( right next to windows) but not from Center vents.

Same thing also happens with Heat. When outside temp is low and mine set to 68/70, hot air starts coming from the corner vents only not from 2 center vents.

If I change the mode manually, then it does flow from all 4 vents. So I think Auto mode is designed to not to blow air from all 4 vents.

Is there something wrong or this is the design itself?

I have an 09 and I have never noticed side vent only for ac. I would say you have something wrong.
