Bye Bye Acura....
Bye Bye Acura....
Traded my 10 TL for a 13 bmw M sport.
The TL had many nice things the bmw does not have but the bmw drives much better and it has its own toys the acura never offered.
The voice control actually works now.

*The NAV works much better.
*You can import MP3's via a thumb drive thru a dedicated USB port.
*save your profile setting to an external usb key and also back up your music you imported + ripped in.
*The dvd player actually plays dvd movies.
*there is a BMW app you can find your car via your phone, lock/unlock it from anywhere on the app and honk the horn, flash lights.
*The 8 speed sport auto works very well.
*sport seats are better.
*free maintenance
*free loaner cars for any service.
*iDrive shows you a lot of information about the car and you can even track the modes people drove in and how they drove the car during specified times.
*voice control actually understand your commands.
you can search an individual song by name or artist off ipod, or internal hd of music.
*HD radio
*bluetooth phone will read your text and emails out loud if needed.

Beatiful car, great colour... Although I've just never been a fan of BMW's lack-luster interior. I guess that's the girl in me that lusts for shoes and fancy things.
... Gotta kinda disagree with your list of toys there, though... They don't really seem to be features that the vehicle has which the TL doesn't, which I think is what justin was asking for... Especially the free loaner. Acura also offers this, so I'm not sure where BMW has the upper hand here. Also, a few are definitely a matter of opinion I think. Although I've got to say, free maintenance is really nice. I want that.
Either way, congrats on your new car. I'll bet it's a blast to drive.

I came over from Mercedes C Class and I hated their navigation. I am not sure about BMW but the signal gets lost a lot of times and the nav even showed I am in the middle of Ocean.
Also it is a small car and I wanted a bigger space so I am with TL now.
Anyway, you enjoy your new ride and maybe you will come back to Acura in the future

BMW really improved the interiors on the new model of the 3 and 5 series. The lackluster interiors kept me away from them as well, but once the f10 model of the 5 series came out, I sold my TL and am now a happy BMW owner. No regrets about owning the TL SH-AWD. It was an awesome car.
I came from a 335I before getting a TL AWD. Agree that the BMW is more fun to drive. But I didn't like the non-reliability of the car. It was in the shop 6 times in the first year for recalls and electrical / mechanical issues. Hopefully they've improved since then.
The 335xi was my first choice back late in 2009. HPFP issues scared me off, hence my TL now. My TL has been trouble free (except the occasional 3rd gear popping out) 35k miles later.
Cartalk members would likely flame you for getting the TL b/c of its hideous design, while they stroke their German egos, and claim German reliability is on par with that of the Japanese.

...just me, but that's not that exciting of an exterior. I mean the new Cadillac ATS has a rather attractive interior. I'm waiting to see if Acura does the deed and seals the deal with the TLX...when it comes out.
Absolutely love the car, congratz. Makes me miss my unreliable 330 which was in the shop 5 times total, in 3.5 years.
Congrats, i considered to buy this 328 M sport and tested drive it but settled for TL instead. personal taste i guessed, a little small for me, and can't afford to go for the 5 series :-).
Nice car, like the color. If you ever want to punch it up a bit there is a $380 juice box available for it from Burger Motorsports. Nice thing is with the push of a steering wheel button you can go back to stock & maintain the high MPG.
I would not worry about the horror stories you will get here since so far my X3 - 22K miles & 335is = 12K miles have no out of pocket expenses or extra trips to the dealer & the 330 with 100k+ miles has about $1000 out of pocket since 2004 not including tires.

Its my second BMW. i had a 135i before the TL. that was tuned and ran 12.7 in the 1/4
To an earlier post the sticker was $46k..I saw the blue and had to have it.. Only the M cars have this blue.
Yes its slightly smaller than the TL but i drive 100miles a day so fuel mileage is saving me money.
And as for reliability i wont keep it past warranty..i get a new car every 1 or 2 years.

3.28 ? That's the housewife model....lol.
While I get anyone bailing for an M3 or even the 5.35, I gotta call bad move on that one.
A 3.28 isn't worth the monthly trips to the dealership for X that broke this week, especially for the sticker.

true that.. price for price.. i think the sh-awd offers more..
I just drove a 335i and I was not impressed with that car AT ALL. Maybe the M is better. Fun to drive is my Miata. It just aint fun everyday. I love my Miata in they city, and Love the TL on the road. I guess the BMW can do both OK if you want compromise. As for saving gas, I ride my Trek to work. Best MPG in the world. My Pickup is for winter and hauling my trek.
Your car looks sharp and I hope you enjoy it. I hope Acura can bring out a nicer exterior the next go round or I might be out myself.
