Body/Lip kit
Body/Lip kit
Hi everyone,
I'm new here so if I'm doing anything wrong just let me know.
I've been looking for a car to VIP (I know some hate VIP, but I like it) and I fell in love with a 2010 TL. Besides saving some more money my only problem with it is I can't seem to find a body kit or even a lip kit for it. I've checked the usual suspects in Andy's Auto Sport and eBay but am coming up with nothing. If you guys wouldn't mind helping a newbie I'd be forever grateful.
Thanks

You don't have many options, the best quality kit out there for the 09-11 is the OEM kit, other than that you have a kit made by Ronjon that you can search up easily and finally a carbon fibre kit made by a company I can't remember right now, maybe someone else can chime in on what brand makes it.
Not many people have it. I can't remember if it's designed as an extension to add to the OEM kit or if it's a kit all on it's own (it at least had a front lip and side skirts available). It was designed by some company called aerodynamics or something like that but I can't find it anymore.
There is company called aeroflowdynamics they make a front splitter and side skirts. For what they told be the side skirts can be installed sticking out more or less depending on what you want. The front is fixed by for a charge they can redesign to stick out more or less.

That's the one and yes it's a splitter: https://www.aeroflowdynamics.com/collections/acura
Would the RonJon kit fit a 2012/13? Or is there too much difference in the body? I know the 4th generation goes to 2014 (thanks to this forum), but would Acura have changed body lines within the generation?
RonJon kit is no different.
The sides are identical but the front and rear bumpers are different.
I'm sure quite a few things would fit after modification. TLX headlight projectors fit but require modification.

Front 2 support clips needs to be trimmed off completely. 09-11 bumper center are more sharper than the 2012 and up. So the front lip needs to be push in and flush against the 2012 bumper. It's a pretty tedious modification.
Another thing is that it is VERY hard to match up pearl white. I have to leave my car out of the sun pretty much everyday to blend in the body of the car.

There's no real "deal" either, it's about $900 for all three pieces (front, sides, rear) and that's that.
Do you know if there is a part number associated with the OEM kit? I've seen them online but shipping is $$ I live 1/2 mile from https://www.parkacuraoemparts.com dealer and cant seem to find it in their diagrams
I have a 2009 TL Tech, looks like it would be different anyway. But still cant find the part number if there is one
