RonJon body kit for 2012 TL
A friend of mine did a little Photoshopping on a picture of my TL and this is what he came up with. Yay? Nay?
Personally I'm hoping this gets made. I'd love to see this dropped on some 20s.

I should say - keep in mind too that this came from someone who hasn't seen either the car or the kit in real life. He just Photochopped the kit as best as possible from pics of cars on Ron Jon's site to a pic I took of my car. The kit might not actually hang that low in real life. In case you haven't seen it, here are the pics of the kit on an 09-11. I think it looks awesome:

If they come out with the '12 kit I'll get it for sure... unless the OEM kit looks almost as good. I'd rather not have to pay a place to match paint, and I know the OEM kits come painted. They just didn't look that good to me on Acura.com.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's not going to happen. I spoke to Ron personally and they will never produce a kit for the 2012.

Yeah it does!!! I posted about this somewhere else, but basically we would have to revert back to the 2011 setup which is not exactly a direct job... It would be a total pain and not worth it IMO. I got the factory "kit" as it's all I could find as an option. Meh.

That's ok. I can wait. The cart has only been out a year. I'm sure someone will come up with something before the model switch. That kit looks great on the 09-11s though. In the mean time I've got coilovers and wheels to worry about. :-)

What kit is that? Sides look like the RJ sides, but the front looks a little different.
Did you get an RJ kit and pay someone to modify it to fit or something?
That looks hot!
Edit: I just found your thread. Modification to the front lip looks interesting. How close were the sides to fitting exactly? Did they just fit as normal or did they require modification as well?

It looks REALLY REALLY close to fitting. I'm wondering if the areas around the two black inlet openings on the front had to be modified at all. That's the only part that I think I'd be sketched out about if I was trying to do this myself, due to the fact that they're curved surfaces. I would be comfortable shaving anything else that needed to be shaved on a straight surface.
For the sides and back I think I'd just go with the OEM pieces, since they're already painted and they'd be really easy to install, but I REALLY like that front lip much better than the OEM front lip. I like the RJ rear better too, but I just got done staring at some pics of the back of a stock 11 and 12 and the RJ kit from their site, and it looks like the back would be much more difficult to make work due to the rear bumper being so much different.

Front 2 support clips needs to be trimmed off completely. 09-11 bumper center are more sharper than the 2012 and up. So the front lip needs to be push in and flush against the 2012 bumper. It's a pretty tedious modification.
Another thing is that it is VERY hard to match up pearl white. I have to leave my car out of the sun pretty much everyday to blend in the body of the car.

KB1Spec...that looks really good!! I am not a huge fan of the drop but no question that the kit looks really good on the 2012! I am envious

Hey KB that looks hot as hell. I thought I was done with the Ronjon body kit because I got rid of my 09. So I'll be calling Ron and see how fast I can get that bodykit. Hey KB what do you have for the rear? The 2012 rear or what, can u post some pics of your 12 rear.

I agree, sadly. The skirts look good IMO, but the front and rear remind me of a early 2000s Grand Am... Which makes me sad, since Ron Jon will be showing no love for the '12-'14s and my hope of a sexy kit is in the toilet. :-(

The Original Shawdy
You can buy the oem lip kit from the Acura dealer.
