Best Stock-Size Rotors for 2013 TL?

I'm a proud new owner of a 2013 FWD TL.

Unfortunately the brake rotors are warped so it looks like they will need to be replaced. I dont see the dealer replacing them under warranty (wearable/consumable) so I'll probably be swapping them myself.

I was looking at Tirerack and did not see any Brands I'm familiar with for this car but I saw these "StopTech Sport Slotted Cryo-Treated Rotor". Anyone run these or should I stay with OEM? I just want to do a rotor swap, not go to bigger brakes.

This is from the link that excelerateperformance posted in this forum. Prices look like they include ceramic pads, which I suggest if you want to minimize brake dust. Rotors are Stop Tech brand.

Or if you're looking at just the rotors, you can get a good deal on ebay for around $80 to $100 per rotors free ship, for the StopTech Drilled. Just do a search for TL StopTech Drilled Brake Rotor.

Drilled rotors are more prone to cracking from heat depending on if they are cast with the holes or drilled after the fact. I believe there is an issue with turning them for future services if I'm not mistaken as well. It is also debatable if they actually stop better considering the loss of mass, although that does decrease sprung mass (rotational mass). I'd recommend slotted if you're in the market for new rotors. They're more durable and probably less prone to warping in the future.

The centric rotors from tirerack are good. My previous car was an Evo and on that forum a lot of guys do auto cross and swear by them. I bought the cryo treated blanks for my awd and love them

OP - Slotted ones on Ebay are $81.18 shipped per front rotor, $72.95 shipped per rear rotor.

Search for TL StopTech Slotted Brake Rotor, and the part # is 126.40075S for fronts, 126.40074S for rears. I'm assuming 126.40075SL for front left, 126.40075SR for front right, 126.40074SL for rear left, 126.40074SR for rear right. All

There are more expensive alternatives, but if you just want new rotors, $80 / rotor is a pretty good price for a popular brand.

OP - If you're looking just to replace the rotors and don't really need any added performance, I'd suggest just going with some Centric Premium Blanks. They are very affordable and they get the job done. They won't give you any added performance over stock but they will give you some aesthetics and a bit more durability with the black E-Coating that they have on the hub and vanes.

Slotted rotors will give you a bump in performance and are a great option for any style of driving. If you're interested in anything, shoot me a PM and I'd be happy to put together a package that works for you.
