Any TSB's or recalls?

Hi,

I just bought a used 2009 TL 3.7L with Technology Pkg with 2500 miles Mayan/Umber and the dealer said all TSB's were checked and performed. Can someone tell me which TSB's they were talking about or where I can find them? They said in order to sell the car certified used, all TSB's and recalls have to be completed. I did do a carfax and nothing showed up.

Thanks.

In November 2008 they decided to replace the front control arm bolt on a number of early 2009 model year cars.

There were several cautionary statements issued about unclear procedures resetting various control units.

Some very few cars left the factory with USB/ Aux connections that did not work correctly.

Changes were made to instruct the dealers better about how to properly initially set up the Nav system.

A few cars had to be fixed because if somebody wanted to lock the remote into the dash board interface instead of just keeping it in his pocket, the remote wouldn't always easily lock into the dash board, physically.

Troubleshooting instructions were issued regarding what exact steps to take if a driver complained about the car pulling to left or right under various operating conditions, and in some few cases the rear differentials were replaced.

That's all I can think of.

Hey thanks there GK.

Another question, its been cold here in MA recently and in the morning when I drive off the engine feels a little rough and not smooth like it is after the car is warmed up. Do others feel this too?

I work in the Boston area and my TL is at the mercy of the weather since it is not garaged. Yes, engine feels rough (like it's knocking) and not smooth until car is warmed up. If you pop the hood, you'll also hear metal "clanging" noises and what sounds like valve tapping.

I asked in another thread a long time ago and people say it's normal. I also confirmed this when I had a RL for a loaner, which basically has the same engine. Same characteristics when starting it up in the cold mornings.

Thanks, I have the same exact noise as you just mentioned and when I accelerate the engine sound is not uniform, as if there are air pockets in the sound(whatever this means...lol). Thanks, I feel better now.

No worries! My 07 TL was like that as well as my 2010 TL. I always let it warm up in the A.M. before I go to work in the winter months.

I never heard such noise in my 06 RL or 09 TL. My TL is smooth as silk, hot or cold

Interesting, now I am confused. I have never owned an Acura let alone a Honda. I have always been a Lexus guy so this is venturing into the wild side for me

I let mine warm up for a minute or two and it is still a little rough for the first 5 minutes of driving. After that its silky smooth and love to rev the engine for the sweet sound
