looks like completely different aftermarket headrests. I'd be careful bc the factory ones are designed to reduce neck injuries when you are in an accident. These look like generic ones....

To each, his own. My thoughts:
1. I'm not convinced of the increased benefit of the Acura designed headrests; perhaps they are safer, but every accident is different.
2. Many on this forum have complained about the uncomfortable angle of the Acura headrests. Not really a problem for me, but some have complained.
3. Yes, these are "dated" in a sense...they're not my taste. That said, if I ask my kids which car we should take, they always choose my wife's Pilot, just because of the pop-down screen. But I prefer driving the TL. Something like this would likely help my negotiations.

Acura had to resdesign the headrest in the early 2007 2G MDX because of unsatisfactory safety ratings for neck injuries to the "uncomfortable" design that people now dislike.
