Acura Remote Start installation charge?

Just wondering if anyone would know how much a dealer would charge to install the automatic start if I supplied them the parts. I can get both the engine starter and the attachment for $392 Shipped from bernardi Acura online store using their 5% discount code FALLSAVE5.

I know about all the short falls of the system but I think it would be a good convenience for my pregnant wife in the winter time to have a nice warm car to get into when she heads to work in the morning.

I just picked up my TL last week and asked them a similar question. My dealer would only give me the price to install their own system ($1,200) and would not consider any alternative. They also told me they have yet to sell one system yet due to the price....

That is very high price, best price I have found around my area was $599 and highest was $799.

I will call around later today to ask and see if anyone would give me a price.

Will it be very difficult to DIY ? You can then pocket the labor charges.

I would definitely be interested in the autostart at those prices. Where are you located?

I think it must be done at the dealer because it needs to be programmed so DIY is out of the question.

I am in NJ. The $599 price was quoted from the Acura of turnersville dealer.
