Acura 2012 TL FWD base model

I just bought this car don’t know anything about it, I would like to change transmission fluid. It has ruffle 111,608 miles on it currently if I change the fluid can anything go wrong. Btw previous owners never changed the Tran fluid?

I got the same model as you, but with 101,000 miles on it. I did the trans fluid drain and fill with Acura ATF. No issues.

since you have the 2012 model with the 6spd auto transmission you can change the fluid and the external filter for piece of mind! Honda DW-1 automatic trans fluid from the honda dealer is the best choice for most folks.

I changed my trans fluid as well with no issues. Pretty easy DIY of you want to save some money.

You guys see any difference after the change? I've read that some people think their trans performs way better after a fluid change.

Its true it's better with fresh fluid. Often noticeably better.

Honestly... I can’t tell a difference other than I know it’s done and peace of mind. Probably not the answer you wanted to hear. I do, however, feel like I notice a difference when I change engine oil.

I changed mine last spring and I definitely felt a difference when driving. I’m actually planning on doing it again this next oil change
