5k white amber switchback V3 triton LED system from Vleds
Hey guys has anyone purchased and is using the new 5K WHITE AMBER SWITCHBACK V3 TRITON LED SYSTEM part: V3_WA_5K-C from Vleds on 2012 TL SH-AWD and up? They score very high and have so far excellent reviews. I just want to know the personal honest opinion about them before I get some. Anyone??

The 2012 TL takes 3457. I contacted them and they said just
Chose Base Adapter1 x 3157 (3156 3057 3155 3357 3457 3757 4157)
It would be nice to get some promo codes for their site.

They are the best. A 15% code is always floating around. 20-25% come on holidays maybe even next weekend. Do you guys think the dimming feature for night is worth hooking up. I have not seen them on a TL but with all those LED DRL now the fact the parking lights are bright may not be a reason for the police to take notice.

They look super nice I am very tempted. Haven't messed with any lighting except the vanity and license plate lights. I actually like the amber on CBP but those would be hot. I like the fact they already have the built in resistors and dimming feature.

The bases have to be ordered in CK 3157. Will install them when I will receive the proper bases for vleds. Here is the picture of the CK 3157 in 2012 Acura tl. Used multimeter today.

Those look nice, cant wait for some pics installed in your TL.
May be pricy but I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for, isn't that why we purchased Acura's instead of Yugo's?

I had these installed in my 2013, can confirm that the standard 3157 base will NOT work I blew two fuses. VLED advised that you will need 3157 CK. Anyways my installer cut the plug off and tapped it into the signal wire directly and we got it working.
I would however like to run them as my DRL's (and disabled old ones) but not sure what sure what we should tap into.

what kyoru mean was that the installer cut the original harness plug off the car and just tapped the wires.. which is the wrong way to do it.

^ We cut the plug off of the VLED harness and we tapped it into the factory, not too worried.
As for the DRL I meant running the parking lights as the DRL and disable the factory ones. Should be able to do this by running a wire from the ignition circuit to the VLED module and pulling the DRL fuse.

Ok guys I have to confirm that the CK3157 base adapter from VLED is 100% compatible with 2012 acura TL turn signal and parking lights. You don't have to splice anything at all. Plug and play. I will post the final pictures hopefully at the end of this week or next. I made a few changes to collar and vled itself. I also used my own orange high temp seals. I also mod the vleds so the installed bolts are in the 4 cross pattern like the original bulb socket for proper tight fit. The collars from vleds are coming with 6 bolt pattern not 4 cross. So from the package you can only go with two bolts only. The vleds are sitting in the signal housing slightly tighter when you turn to lock in. Here are some pictures. Enjoy...............

Hello guys, I just completed the install of the vleds switchbacks. I made special bracket for the vleds controller out of stainless steel. It took me about 1 1/2 hr per side to do it right. The vleds are in 5000k to match my xb led 5000k fog and 5500K CBI. Here are some more pictures on the Vleds 5000K switchback on 2012 TL SH-AWD. The amber is also very bright a lot brighter than the oem bulb. The white is about 600lm and amber about 450lm. No errors and no hyper flashings . It is just perfect. Enjoy...............

I think it is too many white lights in the front. I like the amber amber switchback. Still, good effort and looks good especially the nice bracket to hold the controller.

Thanks, you can get the yellow & yellow switchbacks from vleds no problem. I like just pure white on parking lights. If you like amber & amber just stay with oem bulbs why bother??? Turn signal by the way in vleds are in amber. I looked very, very carefully where I should install the controllers and that was only logically thinking spot. Holes were already there on both sides. There is a lot of empty space around for the controllers to dissipate the heat from build in resistors plus I used stainless steel bracket that never rust . I just used spring nuts like everywhere ales in that car. Now I am just waiting for at least 20% sale at vleds to purchase the amber leds for for the rear. I have to admit the quality of the vleds in top notch.

Jerry, thank you for this and your Morimoto LED fogs thread. Lots of great information to read through as I'm planning out what to do with my newly acquired TL. A couple of questions for you. I know from my research that the V-LED's switchbacks use Philips Luxeon Rebel 3W LED's and the Morimoto fogs use Philips Luxeon T 3W bulbs. Does the 5k white on the switchbacks pretty much exactly match the 5k color on the Morimoto fogs? Did you have to make a lot of adjustments to get the light spread just right on the switchbacks?
Last, and I know this is a stretch, is there any way you could post a walk-around video of your setup? I'm like 95% sure this is the setup I want to go with as well as the V3 Triton amber bulbs for the rear. I'm just trying to gather as much info as I can before I go spending $400+ on turn signals and fog lights. Lol. Thanks again for your posts!

Did you have to make a lot of adjustments to get the light spread just right on the switchbacks? I adjusted one full revolution led into the housing. Walk-around video of my setup coming soon..........

The biggest problem in my case was finding proper spot for the led controllers in 2012 acura tl sh-awd. Vleds suggest mounting controllers in vertical position to metal and not much proper space available anywhere near the turn/parking housing. The only logical spot was at the end of sub-frame on both sides with additional metal brackets. Plus the collar from vleds comes with 6 bolt pattern. You needs 4 cross bolt pattern to be used on 2012 and up tl to be fully secured. You can use two bolt pattern straight out of the box. Other than that all is plug and play. Have Fun............

With regards to the front turn signal/parking light, does anyone know if you can use an LED 3457A replacement and block the parking power connection so that it will only only work when the turn signal is activated? I don't want to install a switchback kit and would really like to disable the parking light to minimize some of the lights up-front. Would prefer to use an amber LED. If you have replaced this with an LED, can you provide a link of the LED you used.
I saw this for error free LED replacement for the back which uses 7440, but I couldn't find one for a 3457A. The nice thing about this one is you don't have to tap additional resistors and was looking for something similar for 3457 - 7440 Error Free LED Bulbs | Turn Signal Lights, Backup Lights
I read here some people having luck disabling parking lights with regular bulbs, but was't sure if anyone has had success using LED's - https://acurazine.com/forums/fourth-...012-tl-846021/
