4G Tech Model Navi Map Updates

My Dad works for a car dealership and they had a TL Tech come in on trade recently. In the glove box was the '12 Red DVD Update. The traded car already has the new software running on the hard drive, but my car does not.

I have the DVD (pictured below), but it's asking for a password which I do NOT have. On the back of the DVD case is a series of letters and numbers, but they don't work. Inside the case it reads:

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Your password is required to complete the map update installation. Please refer to the confirmation email or the packing slip for your password.

Um, yeah I don't have that. I can call the client contact center with the trade VIN, but I'm sure they'll want me to buy my own disc.

What to do? Am I SOL here? :-(

On the anti theft card that came with the card there is a code on there. It says radio and navi on it. It's the one that looks like a business card.

Wow I posted that from my cell phone and the auto correct put "came with the card" instead of "came with the car"
So embarrassing.

all disc are linked to one vin and only works for that vin. You'll have to buy your own disc

These codes are also located on the underside of the fuse box cover in the engine compartment.

This is correct. You cannot use the disc multiple times.

I remember reading this somewhere in another thread. The password required is a bunch of letters and numbers separated by dashes and I don't believe the navi code from the card that came with the car has THAT many digits.

It just seems like the passwords should work multiple times as when installing software on our home computers do.

I know there are a bunch of "hacks" on the internet where you can download the navi update disc to your computer and then copy it to your car, but I'm assuming those will need a password as well and I'm unsure if there is a generic one.

I'm striking out here!
