2012 TL body kit

Have sh-awd for a while now, looking at adding a little more style. Any advice, pics and retailer would be helpful. Not looking for something crazy, daily driver.

Previously 04 a-spec.

Here is a thread showing some pics of my TL with the body skirts (with the exception of the rear). Instead, I stuck with the splash guards. Unless you are a pro at doing your own install, I recommend you get it done at the dealer...that is what I did and it was worth the money.

Keep us posted

How much ground clearance do you loose with the skirts if any?

Really like the looks with the skirts but I am not sure I would want to sacrifice the already low ground clearance.

X2
I haven't gotten the kit since I only have 1" of clearance in the front on my driveway.

Having owned the '12 fwd and now the '12 awd both with the lip kit...I don't believe the kit makes the car lower at all. The front and the back are taped on at the corners...and the sides are bolted on. The kit just flares it out rather than lowering it.

My town house complex has a slight dip when you exit and I had to go slow with the fwd so I wouldn't scrath. I actually haven't had the problem now with the AWD. I assume it's b/c the 1in difference in wheel size.

I'm sure you have seen pics, but here is an example:

As you can see no change to the direct front of the car only the side corners.

Hope this helps! And yes, if your looking to add a little more style, the kit will compliment the car well!

If you look at right below where the fog is the bumper and kit both stick out at those spots. It stick out a little more with the kit and that where I'm afraid I'll scrape.

I was going to mention this. DD is right, it almost extends the front further out therefore if you were going down a dip it could scrape. However, keep in mind that the natural center still extends further, so this shouldn't happen. I haven't had an issue with that tho. When my fwd scraped it was only under the front center underneath where you can't see it.

I think this is what DD meant and I'm glad he pointed it out b/c it's definitely a possibility.

I was looking at the spots under the fogs tonight and they don't stick out that far. With the kit it does stick out quite a bit more. Depending on driveway steepness that little difference could mean scraping or not.
