2012 TL in The Avengers

Took the family to see The Avengers yesterday in the TL, and noticed that the car is used in a number of scenes in the movie. Ironic, since I drove the R8 to watch one of the Iron Man movies previously. My kids thought I did that deliberately, but I really didn't plan that at all. Still, it was kind of fun.

Good movie too, I should say.

My radio station did a preview screening of the movie Wednesday night...even my wife enjoyed it.

What do you guys think of the police bash bar on the TL? I sent out an email to the company that retrofitted the vehicles for the movie and asked about that bash bar. Thinking I might want to add that to my TL. =)

Yes, but not an NSX-T, just a regular NSX coupe from 1991, before the T came out, actually.

According to an article on Edmunds, "For the front push bar CVS raided the Go Rhino! product catalog and picked up Road Defender 5000 series push bars originally intended for use on Chevrolet Impala police cars. CVS modified the Defender bars by shortening them so they didn't wrap under the front bumper, widening them to clear the Acura grille and moving the top crossbar so it didn't cover up the critical super-shiny Acura logo in the center of the grille."

I know what you mean. They really butchered that thing. All in the name of entertainment.

In fact, the "NSX" that appears in the movie doesn't even look that much like the NSX prototype that's been doing the rounds at auto shows. But it certainly does look good as a spyder. I can't wait to see the final version.

Haha, thanks. I'm just like everyone else on these types of car forums - we all love cars.
