Was just watching NatGeo and a commercial with the 2012 TL aired, first time I have seen it and couldn't find it online...Anyone?

 

Just finish seeing the commercial and the car looks nicer than I thought it would.

 

Does the commercial look like the preview we saw in Mission Bay a couple weeks back or is it a different one?

I believe Acura of Temecula also did the "Why Fly" commercial for the 09/10 TLs. Very nice, relaxing, and classy commercials IMHO.

 

Actually those videos are done by Acura Corp. Acura of Temecula probably just put their name on them and posted it on Youtube.

 

I saw that video on acura.com, but still cant find the commercial i saw on tv on the internet... It shows a woman and how they "refine" her, then go on to show the "refined" 2012 TL...Ill be on the hunt this week to get it posted in here!

 

I know the ad you're referring to..I saw it about two days ago. The car looked really nice in that commercial.

It shoudl be a lingerie football player taking off her clothes!!! Now that would draw some attention . but Acura selling to women.. a lot! I demand equal rights!

Perfect the 4.5G is just right for a women its a lot softer now...

 

Interesting commercials. Are they implicitly admitting that the 4G exterior design was a sales disaster?

 

It's about refinement...The Calvin Johnson commercial was pretty cool. I got it.

 

That's pretty much widely known...hell not even the salesmen at my dealership liked the look of the pre MMC 4G. Of course Acura isn't going to just come out and say that it was a disaster but if you look at a lot of the press releases and statements Acura made they pretty much say that it was too "much" for some people hence admitting their mistake.

 

Really? The salesman told you he likes the car that is selling for close to MSRP better than the one that is selling for below invoice? Say it ain't so!

 

Now I get a different view from my salespeople in Augusta. They were moving the 4G before the MMC and folks, mainly women, have made the comment it's not aggressive as it was before. One lady opted for an 11 over the 12. The only failure is not trying...A disaster, nawh. Sales slipped some due to the economy. The look was controversial at best, because it did sell...if they sold 10 units in 6 months that's what would of stunk. The 3G's intro was received with lukewarm reception at best. I was at a release party for it and there weren't to many WOW! if any.
