Hi guys, I recently just found out that my left head light has a crack on the inside, which is the plastic part. I believe it was a hit and run, and I don't even know when did it happened.
Anyway, I am just replacing the left light only. I wanna know if anyone have any experience of switching their light to a aftermarket headlight? Is the difference noticeable? If I have to go for a OEM I prefer to get a used one, or maybe a set of aftermarket ones that are decent quality. I don't wanna make it look cheap at all.
Here is my headlight.
http://b399.photo.store.qq.com/psb?/...hotoDetailHere are some used OEM Lights,
I think there are something wrong with these lights, but I don't know.
What is broken tab? Would this effect my usage? I have all the stuff I need for installation that came with the car. I don't think there will be a problem.

DEPO looks so good but I don't know if anyone have any experience on them?

How about TYC? If I only replace one would they look different and noticeable?

I would just buy a used OEM light off of eBay or a similar site. Your light output is going to be different if you have one OEM light and one Depo/TYC light.
A broken tab refers to a broken mounting point on the headlight. As for buying a light with a broken tab, I would stay away from this unless you are going to have someone repair it before installing.
If you can have some down time with your car you could mix and match headlights. For example if all your headlight tabs are good, just the innards are broken you could buy a used light with good internals but a broken tab, then mix and match the good parts to make one good headlight. If you want to do this contact JNC or Bruce (ACK), as they both mod headlights (can custom paint them for you too). They can better help explain your options too.

Depo would be a good idea if you do both at once, but if you go that route i would buy some new lenses from hid retrofit source, I bet the lenses in there are not high end (maybe better than the stock opaque ones?).Originally Posted by John35205

Other option is good too, buy a new left headlight but I would use the bulb from your broken light (so they look the same)

Depo are not as high quality compared to OEM lights. If you are going to mod the lights (by replacing the lenses) then you might as well just mod your stock lights, no point in buying Depo headlights to mod. During the modifications you can mend your stock headlight and not even replace it.Originally Posted by gibbyisgibby

Also a new headlight from Acura won't include a new bulb, it is just the bare headlight.
Your best option IMO is to buy a used OEM light.

As for taking your bumper off, it may just be easier for you to have a local Honda or Acura dealership replace the headlight for you. I would just order a used OEM light.

Its pretty easy, 1 screw and 2 tabs in the wheel well and a couple of screws and tabs under the lip. A couple of bolts under the hood, i'll send you a link to the service manual. Originally Posted by John35205
