2009 TL A/C Problems
Recently my A/C has stopped blowing hard. It's almost as if I have lost a speed literally. The top speed is about what medium to one speed above medium was. Re-circulate does nothing either to make it blow harder. I am going to replace the cabin air filter this evening but I believe it is something more than that. At one point last week it felt like it kicked back in harder for a few moments but quit and nothing since then. Have any of you experienced anything along these lines? Wiring ? Blower Motor? Thoughts are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance .....
Are you using the manual fan controls? I know mine stops blowing as hard when the phone is active, or when voice commands are active. Also, if you have the Tech package, when the sun shifts, the sensor changes the fan speed (Or so the manual says). It could be a problem with any of those systems, or something blocking the sensor. Or a dirty filter could have caused the blower to work too hard and it's dying.
Also, it's very hard to resist making a joke about the number of times you said "Blowing Hard"

Hey hey ... I think you used blowing more than I did lol. No Tech package, no auto system on A/C ... clogged filter killing blower motor could be a possibility. A good explanation as to how hard it blows is now it currently only blows about as hard as it should when the phone Bluetooth kicks in. It does the same thing with the heater as well. I'm just to the point of taking it to a mechanic and pay whatever stupid amount to have the a/c fixed or just trading it in while it still works for a 12 or 13. I'd like to just keep it because it's a good car, but it gets real hot here in Texas and I'm not the smallest guy out there. Was hoping someone would have a couple of quick fix options for the amateur mechanic. I haven't tried the filter, picked it up this evening but haven't installed.
Thanks for the response emanon

Just a follow up, I obviously don't pay as much attention to my car as I should. On a service job about a year ago the cabin air filter was supposed to be replaced and wasn't. You should have seen the thing. It would seem as if the car has some sort of a fail safe that powers down the fan somewhat. 3 minute job of changing the filter and wallah .... hurricane force winds blowing out of the vent. Just a heads up to anyone who may be experiencing the same thing. 16$ and 3 minute fix.
