2009 Infiniti G37 Sedan = 320+ HP & 7 Speed Trans
"The 2009 G-series sedan will be upgraded with the 3.7-liter VQ37VHR V6. Exact output has yet to be confirmed, but the document rates the 3.7-liter V6 at 320+ hp, with power sent to a seven-speed automatic transmission."

The G35/37 is a direct competitor to the TL and is therefore a relevant topic.
It's so relevant, in fact, that I will likely buy one.
Infiniti uses real brake rotors in their products, they offer AWD and their engines have more balls than the Honda/Acura counterparts.
Look at the brakes that new Infiniti will have:
■ 4-piston front and 2-piston rear calipers, with 14-inch front and
13.8-inch rear disc brakes
Acura will still be playing around with 11" rotors while virtually everyone else is using 14" rotors...
That G37 AWD will likely be available for $40K with some dealing. That's a helluva' good bargain for such a car. My biggest issue with it is the bLose stereo, which is junk.

The HP wars are going to be on it's dying days. Gas is $4 for unleaded. It can easily be $5 by the end of the summer. Even though reportedly this car will be a seven speed, it's still gonna be a gas hog. It will be lucky to get 22mpg combined.
I have an 05 TL and love it, which I bought new. I plan on keeping it for a while. When I'm ready to change, the next car will be decently powered (sub 300hp). The most important thing will be the creature comforts. A decent ride. A handsome look. I'll leave the the HP/Torque wars to the race-boys.

Seriously, go buy it. I don't understand why people would post it and think Honda/Acura is going to add more horse power. Btw HP doesn't = a faster car. Great it has a 320+ hp and what? Nothing else to offer besides a bigger brakes. Don't expect acura to be putting out with 320+ hp on the TL.
