Brakes partially applied - temporarily?
Brakes partially applied - temporarily?
Had that squelching noise, like in the old days when someone drove with the park brake on. Or a pebble got between pad & rotor.
Right rear. Did a couple stop n go’s. Then it got super loud. After merely a mile or so at low speed on side roads, pulled over, felt the rotor. Was surprised how hot it was. Had to remove my fingers immediately. Felt the other rotors and they were all hot. As if the brakes were partially applied. I had not engaged the e-brake (park brake) when it was parked.
That evening took it for a spin. No noise for ~3 miles and the rotors were all at expected temp. No scoring of the RR so it wasn’t a pebble.
Anyone had this issue? I’m out of town presently and it’s not feasible to leave it at a dealership for a day on a wild goose chase.
