I confirmed that the flash drive must be formatted in FAT32. here is a link to a free program I used to format 256GB and 512GB drives in Windows 10

Playing USB Flash Drive while in Android Auto : Simply

Thanks for info on file conversions on Flash Drives to FAT32 (I don't really know the true value meaning of it - hey I'm 70 YO). I cannot find anything in the manual about how to Flip out of Android Auto which is connected WIRELESSLY to my Google Pixel 4XL phone, to be able to play USB Flash drive music?? As soon as I start the Car, it goes to Android Auto and renders the USB not to work. Actually, that was stupid on Acura's part. As a Proud new Owner of a 2022 MDX Advance, since 8/20, and Loving it, this feature and the fact that They Elimnated the inclusion of a CD player with an Internal HDD irks me. That HDD was great !! Play your CDs, record them to the HDD as yiu played them , and forget about them. All your CD music available to you , quickly, and easily and could be selected form the massive Drive. IMO, that was big mistake. In fact, I didn't even realize that there was no CD player until I drove the car Home... Nopne of the 10s of reviews I watched on YT ever pointed that out. Notwithstanding that, the Car is Outstanding in all regards, and in my eye, really a beautiful Redesign. I can't wait to go out on an errand !!!
