Frustrated

Got my 2022 MDX Advance in September 2021. The front doors vibrate and make annoying noise when music is played - even at low volume. Wireless CarPlay doesn't always work - a few times a week the system prompts me to re-connect my iPhone 12 Pro Max. My brakes are constantly squeaking, whether it is warm or cold and they squeak well into the ride - not just the first 10-15 mins. My Infotainment Screen has gone Black / won't come up multiple times - and I have had to bring it to the dealership to get it working again. I also get an error on the Infotainment screen often - "LinxlPodServiceApp isn't responding" - that I have to click to dismiss. My iPhone and the car's Infotainment software are both up to date. I have about 5,500 miles now and I'm starting to get a whooshing/wind noise from the right passenger door area when I’m on the highway going more than 60 miles an hour. Sometimes there’s a little bit of a faint clanking sound also. The Infotainment system never shows the correct artwork for the music in the right side of the screen (which apparently is the side that Acura uses - the main section of the screen for the Apple Car Play always shows the right song). I don't get any turn by turn directions on the Heads Up Display (HUD) for Apple Maps or Waze until 20 minutes into my drive when suddenly all the directions will start from the beginning and cycle through quickly until it is caught up. In addition, my iPhone has never been able to charge using the wireless charging pad which takes up 25% of the real estate in the center console and I basically keep it off all the time. Acura said it is a known issue but has made no fixes or communication about it and I have had the car for over 6 months. Needless to say, I’m pretty disappointed Acura isn’t communicating anything about that to the 2022 MDX owners. Very frustrating. The truth is, this is a beautiful car to look at but when it comes to the tech and functionality, it is a dud.

The signs have been appearing since the '19 RDX, the '21 TLX, and now the '22 MDX. Upcoming Integra may not share these issues as the infotainment is different, I think.

I've certainly had better systems for not much more money.

Thats a huge bummer and should all be covered under warranty, but what a huge pita to have to deal with..

Just an observation and I could be wrong, but if you purchased in Sept., likely means it was manufactured in July or August. Those manufacture date ranges seem to be a consistent with the problem vehicles reported on this and the other site. Like something was going on at the factories at that time.
I can't recall if there was a covid spike then or just everyone was drunk, but I did read HOA was hit pretty hard at one point which added to the supply vs. demand constraints. They were down 30% YoY which to me implies more than just a chip shortage. Just a theory and doesn't help you. Maybe a dealer would do a swap for a different vehicle on the cheap if you push. Still MY22. Anyway, sorry to hear your troubles and hope you get them fixed.

Most of the issues have nothing to do with the pandemic and more to do with "1st model year of a new gen" issues. The reason I brought up the '19 RDX and '21 TLX is because a lot of the complaints are common to those models as well so they've had nearly 4 years to do something about it.

FRUSTRATED, sorry to hear of these major issues. I have mine 7 months with none of this. It sure can be that it is the New Edition , New Model. Unfortunately, you need to document all of this, and Insist that this car be declared a Lemon, and Persue the return under the Lemon Law of your State. Contact the regional Manager of Acura, and Insist that he/she come see the car via youir dealer.

Get copies of Everything: Dealer Visits , Regional Manager visits, log the dates of what happens and when. At $62K, this is UNACCEPTABLE !! Good Luck and continue to Post here , popsters can offer help !!

You might still be in the "honeymoon" period. Hopefully it lasts for the full time of the warranty!
