Has anyone been able to get Waze to show up on Android Auto? Mine defaults to Google Maps and I'l be damned if I can figure out how to change it!

It's a bug in AA. Uninstall Waze, then reinstall. It should show up in AA.

 

That didn't work. Waze not available as an app on the infotainment system. Every other App I added to AA does but not Waze. I am guessing Google doesn't like Waze

Nope, that didn't work either. All other apps I add to the AA shows up but not Waze. Google maps keeps that fricken Search Box open all the time.. sigh

 

Don’t think that it can be intentional. While Waze was originally developed in Israel, Google bought it 2013 for $1B. They’ve both been under the Google umbrella for a while now. I’ve always wondered why they don’t just combine the best of both and offer a single mapping app.

Waze worked fine with AA on my 19 MDX via USB. Since then, the app changed a bit. Pandora, Spotify, Audible, iHeart all show up but not Waze. I am guessing it's an AA issue

 

Well, today Waze showed up on the Infotainment screen and works!

 

Maybe this is a dumb question...how do you add waze, spotify etc to your android auto...i can't seem to figure out how to do it

i would imagine you would just open up app launcher on android auto on your phone (or click customize on your mdx in android auto) and should be able just to add spotify and waze onto the home screen like you do for maps, messages, weather, etc,
