Screw HFL, just get a Bluetooth receiver and plug it into the Aux port of your car.

Kind of an old thread but I figured I’d share my experience.

I hooked up an Amazon Echo Auto back in December. For whatever reason I chose to keep the connection between my Phone, car and Echo Auto over bluetooth as opposed to the AUX – all while knowing the crummy reliability of the stock HFL. And it seems to have made my bluetooth connection reliable. I haven’t had to re-pair my phone manually ever since.

Theres still a 30s-60s delay before it connects and sometimes a hiccup where it disconnects but reconnects. But for the most part it’s been strangely reliable. Hope you find this useful!

I have a wagon with TECH btw.
